Ingredients for fajita seasoning recipe :
- Chili powder, 1 tbsp
- Cumin, 1 tsp
- Paprika, 1 tsp
- Cayenne pepper, ¼ tsp
- Garlic powder, ¼ tsp
- Salt, 1 tsp
- Ground black pepper, 1 tsp
- Olive oil, 3 tbsp
- Skinless chicken breast, 1 ½ pounds
- Bell peppers, 2
- Onion, 1
- Small tortillas, 8
Cooking directions:
- First, preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
- Prepare for fajita seasoning by whisking chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, pepper and salt in a bowl. Whisk thoroughly and set aside.
- In an iron grill pan, heat 1 tbsp olive oil on medium high.
- Add sliced chicken breast and sprinkle ¾ of whisked fajita seasoning. Mix and cook for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
- Prepare the second pan and heat the remaining olive oil on medium heat. Add sliced pepper and sliced onion. Add remaining fajita seasoning. Cook until the veggies are soft for about 7 minutes.
- Meanwhile, wrap tortillas in foil and put into oven to warm up.
- Fill warmed tortillas with chicken, onions and pepper to assemble fajita. Top with desired garnish.
